Assistant Professor, Instructional Technology · The University of Alabama

Learning scientist studying how emerging technologies — game-based environments, XR, and multi-agent AI — reshape teaching and learning. Swarm ID is the classroom-side surface of that research: a design-tension visualizer that lets instructors and students see the arguments behind a lesson instead of just its outline.

Research focus

Studying technology-rich learning environments and how instructors can design, evaluate, and adapt them in real classroom contexts. The lab bridges design-based research, learning analytics, and educational data mining — with a commitment to keeping instructor judgment and student voice visible in the tools we build.

Swarm ID

A multi-agent design-tension visualizer built for real classrooms. Five agents argue the same lesson plan from different lenses so instructors and students can watch the design trade-offs happen instead of receiving a single cleaned-up answer.

  • Course + case workflow for instructors, with a tour, a concept card, and bilingual (KO/EN) UI.
  • Student onboarding, agenda-node creation, and a student-specific tutorial branch.
  • Active classroom partnerships at IU W200, Ewha EDU-101, and FSU Learner Motivation.
